In the NAACP report on the racist elements found in the tea party, one particular band is mentioned, and that band is going to be at the US Capitol for a birther rally today at 12 Noon. Now as we have said before, there is no love lost between us and the band Poker Face, but we are not the only ones that have been taking notice of their anti-Semitic activism and Holocaust denial. As we reported before, in May, they caught a little hell because of their association with the Hutaree Christian Militia. They always try to deny how much they hate Jews, but when you suggest that only 90,000 Jews died in the Holocaust (which lead singer Paul Topete told DLJ at a – surprise, surprise – tea party rally last year), the denial rings a little hollow. Now this rally is being put on by an attorney local to us named Phil Berg, who has been spending the past two years on this birther kick. We don’t expect a lot of people to be at this thing, but it will be interesting as hell to see what scumbags show up. And they damned themselves with Poker Face hanging around. And how do we know that these folks don’t live in reality? Because in hyping this rally up, Poker Face writes, “The time of being called racists and anti-semites is about over so we wont have to deal with this crap any more.” Ummm, yeah. So much for that idea.
