This is one story in the National Enquirer that we can believe – because we were the ones that broke it! A few months ago we wrote a story about Nazi loon Josh Steever marrying Danielle Swayze, the niece of the late actor Patrick Swayze. Now let’s be real about this. It didn’t take any real detective work to dig this up. Both Josh and Danielle were talking up their apparent love and imminent marriage for months on Facebook before the day they first met (!) and were indeed wed. So as you go to your local supermarket this week and you see this cover staring back at you at the checkout counter, soon after you pick your jaw from the floor that we made the National Enquirer (although some of us would have preferred that it was because we were seen messin’ around with such-and-such celebrity at some swanky club – no, strike that; velvet rope clubs can go to Hell), know that the story is legit. And if there are any detractors of theirs who are looking at the fact the National Enquirer picked it up and figures that’s all you need to dismiss it, all we have to say is hey, you believed everything they said about the OJ Trial, didn’t you? UPDATE, 11/9/2011: The story is now being reported in the UK’s Daily Mail.
One People’s Project
In an article in the National Enquirer, Josh Steever, head of the neo-Nazi Aryan Terror Brigade, confirmed that his marriage to Patrick Swayze’s niece was real.
Steever, 31 married Danielle Swayze, 23, in August after ATB’s “Rudolph Hess Memorial” event they organized with a larger Nazi organization they are affiliated with, Blood and Honor. According to their Facebook pages, which reportedly have since been deleted, they only corresponded online and never met until the weekend they were married. “It’s legal, it’s the real deal,” Steever told the National Enquirer when they contacted him to confirm the story.
Ironically, in one of her Facebook posts, Danielle offered $500 to anyone who could provide her with the name and picture of the person who leaked the information about the marriage to “some anti website”. One People’s Project was the first to break the story. “There’s a ‘skin’ rat amongst us who needs to be exterminated,” she wrote.
According to the National Enquirer article, Danielle Swayze’s father Don, who played Gus on the HBO program True Blood, had not spoken with her for at least five years, and did not even know of the marriage. “I had no idea she was getting married,” he said. “And let me make it clear – I would never in a million years approve of her marrying a neo-Nazi.
The Enquirer article also noted that court documents show Steever receiving a year in jail and five years probation after his arrest in 2006 for pulling a knife on three African American high-school students and threatening to blow up Newark Memorial High School in Alameda County, California. The once prominent tattoo of the word “racist” on his forehead was partially removed in an attempt to get a lighter sentence.
