ANTI-RACIST ACTION'S REPORT ON SHUTTING DOWN THE NEW JERSEY MEETING

Anti-Racist Action, who was the primary movers in the protest against the League of American Patriots’ meeting in Clifton, NJ this past Saturday – the picture here from the video of the boneheads making a hasty retreat – has released this report on the action. A few of their members were among those that were briefly detained, but in the end, everyone fared well – not counting the LEAP crowd, of course. One can tell how embarassed they may be about the whole thing, because there is not much chatter coming from them on any of their forums. See, that should be the goal of every antifa around the globe: hand them such a defeat that they don’t want to even talk about it on the internet. Pretty soon, we will find some awfully quiet discussion boards! The usual mad props go out to ARA, who are really holding it down in New Jersey!

Antifa Storm Neo-Nazi Meeting in Clifton, NJ

Pathetic National Vanguard leftovers, the League of American Patriots tried to meet March 21st for International White Pride World Wide day but it only took about a dozen anarchists and antifascists – most from area ARA chapters – to make sure it didn’t happen.

Clockwise: Alex Carmichael, the founder of the League of American Patriots; the man accused of brandishing a knife; two people who don’t like their pictures taken; Erick Weigel as the group leaves the library.

Scouts spotted Erick Weigel – who has really let himself go – with a couple of his pals at the Little Falls Barnes and Noble on Route 46. Erick is best known for trying to attack antifascists at an anti-immigrant rally in Morristown in 2007 and failing miserably. He was then followed to the Allwood Branch Public Library in Clifton. The location was confirmed when League “chairman” Alex Carmichael was spotted through the meeting room window. Alex is an attorney in Northern New Jersey who has been known to refer to himself as “the next Adolf Hitler.”

The group of antifascists split up with one banging on the locked door and the other going around to the outside window to mock terrified League members. Access was gained through a rear delivery door and the group broke into the meeting room, unlocking the inside door for the rest to join in. During the stand off that followed, half of the meetings fifteen or so participants ran out the back door in fear. Alex tried his best to reason with antifa, telling them the police were on their way while another participant took a different approach and pulled a knife. When the police showed they took the antifascists aside, trying in vain to question them, and letting the knife wielding man leave and re-enter the room twice before talking to him.

The meeting was shut down not more than a half hour after it started. League members took off, tails between their legs, not long after the police came. The antifascists were detained for nearly an hour afterwards but no arrests were made. No injuries were reported.

It was learned after the fact that the League has booked rooms in the Clifton area as the “Polish American Group” for past events. Library directors promised they will make sure that groups like these can longer meet in library meeting rooms. Antifascists have promised that groups like these will no longer be able to meet at all.
