Last week they managed to pull 22 of their members to march in Belleville, Illinois in response to an attack on a school bus because Rush Limbaugh called it a hate crime. But in Riverside, California the same day and today (Oct. 3) in Minneapolis, it doesn’t look like things fared as well for the National Socialist Movement (NSM), the little Nazi crew that can’t but doesn’t care. Opposition in both towns chased the 12 of them in Riverside and four of them in Minneapolis away in record time, the Riverside Nazis losing two of their flags and catching a beatdown to flee with the third. NSM manages to keep going thanks to those individuals who are at the bottom of the gene pool for even other Nazis, let alone the rest of humanity. We’re starting to get a little jealous of the antifa in other parts of the country out here on the East Coast. We haven’t seen the NSM out here for some time now. That might change since some idiot is trying to start a chapter in New Jersey, and if the Garden State’s policy towards fascists of “chew ’em up, spit ’em out” isn’t apparent by now, let that crowd have a rally! Much love to those who have been having their way with the NSM over the past week. They said they will return to Riverside, and there will be an NSM rally on Oct. 17 in Austin, MN which is miles from Minneapolis, so there’s going to be more fun coming!
Victory for the Community: Minneapolis Residents Unite, Expel Neo-Nazis from City
NEFAC
At 10:00 this morning, around 200 Minneapolis residents from across the city united to confront the first attempted public neo-Nazi rally in our city in over a decade. Through the force of our numbers, we successfully prevented four members of the neo-Nazi National Socialist movement from bringing their hate speech to Lake Street. Faced with massive community opposition, the neo-Nazis were forced to leave the city under police escort. Together, Minneapolis residents sent a powerful message that racism is not welcome in our community. Today’s action was a total victory for the people of this city.
However, even as we celebrate today’s victory, we turn our attention ahead to tomorrow’s battles. Working class communities, particularly communities of color and especially immigrants, are under attack. The economic crisis continues to inflict misery on working people across the state. In the current political and economic climate we expect the recent upsurge in hate group activity to continue, and we pledge to redouble our efforts to confront racism and hate wherever it rears its ugly head.
Statement of Opposition to Fascism and Hate and Solidarity to all Groups Whom the NSM Would Oppress
Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Coalition
We, the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Coalition (MIRAc), strongly oppose this rally by the National Socialist Movement (NSM). We stand in solidarity with other groups that oppose the NSM’s racism and homophobia. It is no coincidence that this fascist group has chosen East Lake Street, the heart of the Latino community in Minneapolis, as the location of their event. They believe that they can capitalize, during a period of economic crisis, on the confusion over dysfunctional immigration laws that mistake a legal status for the dignity of a human being. We oppose the use of economic uncertainty to fuel racism against immigrants. We uphold the dignity of every immigrant regardless of possession of papers, language spoken, or color of skin.
The NSM is mistaken if they believe that choosing this location will aid them in their cause. Looking around, we see the immense work of revitalization that the Latino and other communities of color have brought to East Lake. The hustle and bustle that surround us is a testament to the vibrancy of the community here. No amount of hate is capable of overshadowing the benefits and vitality that immigrants add to our community.

The NSM are blunt in their claim that the organizers of an anti-racist workshop here at the YWCA are traitors to the white race. Now let us be blunt — as blunt as the instruments the NSM would use to bludgeon the vulnerable and the innocent. The NSM are Nazis and Fascists. They believe that the current economy and the climate of racial resentment create the conditions for their increased legitimacy and visibility. Hence, their presence here in Minneapolis. We will aid in defending those whom they would harm.
For those who have the will to look, the NSM’s hate is clearly on the surface — on their websites, in their acts of violence (when they are caught), and often literally, with swastikas tattooed on their arms. But they do not always profess these beliefs openly. At times, in public, they will play the victim, act as defenders of free speech, or defend a mythic “Euro-American” identity they paranoically believe is under attack from an increasingly multicultural society. But they will not often speak aloud their belief in the legitimacy of the use of violence to intimidate communities of color, or gay, lesbian, bi- and trans- sexual communities. We discern the fascist boot behind their self-proclaimed victimization and we remember the history of a fascism whose legacy is millions murdered.
MIRAc absolutely denounces the racism, homophobia, antisemitism, and anti-immigrant sentiment of the NSM. We see through the costume they wear and down to the ugly nakedness of the hate and fear that they promote. Down with racism! Down with homophobia! Down with the hatred of immigrants! Down with fascism! We stand with all those whom the National Socialist Movement would oppress and eliminate.
On October 17th the NSM Nazi’s Southeast MN unit will be holding a rally against “illegal aliens and communism” at 3pm located at the Veterans Memorial in Austin MN. We invite you to join us as we take the fight to Austin, where the local chapter of the NSM has been able to do anti-immigrant organizing without the level of vigorous opposition we see in Minneapolis. They recently disrupted an anti-racist workshop put on by Centro Campesino, have been able to sway City Council decisions, and are contributing to a dangerous atmosphere where racially motivated violence is becoming more and more common. Let’s show them that their hateful message won’t be tolerated anywhere in Minnesota.

Members of neo-Nazi group briefly clash with opponents in Riverside
Fontana Herald News
Eight neo-Nazis demonstrating their point of view against illegal immigration were escorted away by police on Sept. 26 after a brief altercation with pro-immigration activists in the city of Riverside.
The neo-Nazis, members of the National Socialist Movement Inland Empire Unit, fled after they were briefly but violently engaged in personal contact with about 200 counter-protesters, who tore their swastika-covered flags after they attempted to do the same to the Jewish flag.
During the altercation, some punches were thrown as both sides tried to take over the corner of Madison Street and Indiana Avenue, where dozens of day labor workers gather every day looking for work.
Heavily-armed members of the Riverside Police Department dissipated the fight and urged the neo-Nazis to leave the premises to avoid a bigger incident. No arrests were made, police said.
Unarmed U.S. Department of Justice community relations moderators stood amid the rally to ensure peace after the neo-Nazis left in their Hyundai and Nissan model cars — which apparently goes against their convictions, according to pro-immigration protesters.
Pro-immigration activists, including members of the Aztlan Brown Berets, Chicano activists, and leaders of various church denominations, quickly celebrated victory by singing and chanting traditional songs.
“We are not going to allow their presence in our region and we are certainly not going to allow another Holocaust,” said Jose Calderon, professor of sociology and Chicano studies at Pitzer College in Claremont. “They only bring hate to the region; they are not welcome.”
Jeff Hall, spokesperson of the NSM Inland Empire Unit, who did not make it to the protest for allegedly having a broken car, said that the group members are simply expressing their frustration with the law and that they urged the government to enforce immigration laws to the fullest.
According to its website, the Unit, which consists of about 100 members, demands the deportation of all undocumented immigrants and that all jobs should be offered to American citizens rather than immigrants.
At the same time, about 200 demonstrators of all races and social backgrounds, met at Riverside City Hall to repudiate the neo-Nazis’ presence and to pray for peace.
The Riverside Rejects Racism Rally was organized and supported by about 30 local organizations, including the Pomona Economic Opportunity Center, Western Inland Empire Coalition Against Hate, Mensch Foundation International and Riverside County Peace and Freedom Party Central Committee, among others.
Accepting the invitation, Rabbi Suzanne Singer from Temple Beth El of Riverside, who normally respects the traditional Shabbat, attended the rally and said that “Saving a life supersedes any other Shabbat commandment.”
“Opposing Nazis is a form of life-saving that is appropriate for a Jew to do on Shabbat,” she added.
Hours after the demonstrators dissipated, Hall announced a second rally which would take place on Oct. 24 in the same location. In an e-mail send to media representatives, Hall thanked the “great eight” and indicated that the “Stormtroopers,” originally set up in 1921 in Germany to maintain order at Nazi meetings, will be present at the rally.
“The few members who attended the event are known as heroes in the movement. We have received hundreds of hits on our website and I’m overwhelmed with e-mails from across the nation. Whites around the world have respect for the great eight that faced 200 of your friends,” said Hall. “They are legends far more popular than any martyr.”
“We’ll be waiting for them… ready to defend the immigrant community, and this time it will not be 200 of us, it will be many more hundreds,” responded Calderon.
ANTIFA VICTORY! Nazi Rally in Riverside Broken Up
Seeds Under Snow Collective

The Nazi rally in Riverside today was broken up by Antifa and Brown Beret demonstrators. Of the 3 nazi flags they had, 2 were torn from their hands, ripped to shreds and burnt, and the only one they kept was almost ripped from their hands and they had to sustain several blows to keep it.
In the end, they demonstrated for all of 40 minutes maximum during which time they were pushed, spit on, taunted, and eventually asked the police to escort them to their vehicles for fear of their safety. We chased them all the way back to their cars, spitting on them and throwing whatever was at hand at them until they had been driven out of sight. Immediately the crowd broke into cheers of victory and chants of ANTIFA! and Bash the Fash! rang out.
But it wasn’t over, we listened to several speakers give short talks before we caravaned checking out leads to where we expected the Nazis would be having their meeting. We were unable to find it, but we did find a nazi on a bike who was clearly getting gasoline for the flag burning they planned. He was followed through side streets and clearly knew he was being tailed. After he finally got away, we had scouts scour the neighborhoods. We did not find them but they know that we were looking for them, and that we are fucking serious.
Word is they’re planning another rally in Rialto. So get involved and keep your ears pricked for more news. We won a victory today but we have to be ready whenever they show their miserable faces to stomp them back into the holes they crawled from. ANTIFA!
