At this time, it looks like Ron Paul’s son Rand is going to be a Senator, particularly because there aren’t enough of the “professional left” of White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs’ fears to grow a spine and kick his ass to the curb. So let us give you a smidgen of what you will have in a Sen. Paul: a guy that, among other things, manages to piss people off so much that the Associated Press has an article within hours of his latest dick move. This is just coming out: Rand appears on the Sean Hannity’s show of note for fascists, and goes on some thing about attending a fundraiser at a church and having to worry about beer being thrown on them because things get too wild. At a church fundraiser. A dry church fundraiser. Not a good week for the soon-to-be junior senator, who is also dodging the stories of his past about kidnapping a woman in his college days and forcing her to smoke pot. So tomorrow, be prepared to hear this story play itself out. It might not be around long, but it’s around long enough.

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Republican Senate candidate Rand Paul has angered a small-town Kentucky church by saying he and other politicians who attended its fundraising picnic had to worry about having beer thrown on them.
Paul told conservative radio personality Sean Hannity Tuesday night that the picnic at St. Jerome Parish was wild and that people boo the politicians. He also said they worried beer and other objects would be thrown at them.
The picnic does not serve alcohol as it’s in a dry area.
Parishioner Mark Wilson called for Paul to retract the unflattering comments. He said they might discourage families from attending the picnic.
The picnic has been a good fundraiser for the parish for 130 years. In that time, it has evolved as the traditional kickoff of the fall campaign season in Kentucky.
