THE DOCTOR IS OUT! DR. LAURA QUITS HER RADIO SHOW AFTER N-WORD ROW

It doesn’t say much for you when after a decade of keeping their distance from you, when you do manage to get back in the news after a decade or so, it is to piss people off even more than you did in your entire career – and you were already considered a dirtbag. And so, with her contract up at the end of the year, Dr. Laura Schlessinger is ending her hate radio show, per her announcement on Larry King’s show tonight. This, as you may recall, comes after she decided to berate a black caller for being “hypersensitive” to bigoted things said about black people – doing so by using the N-word 11 times in five minutes. Of course, she used the N-word to show how bad black people are using it, never mind that the woman she was talking to was not using it until Dr. Laura atarted on it, and that was only repeating what she said. She says she is doing it to “regain my First Amendment rights”, which she never lost. What she means is, she doesn’t want to be held accountable for what she says, so she is going to do what conservatives these days do and just stay amongst that crowd and act like she is speaking on how everyone feels. Well, you go do that, Doc. We won’t miss you.

Dr. Laura Schlessinger announced tonight she is ending her radio show, a week after she broadcast a five-minute-long rant in which she used the N-word 11 times.

Schlessinger said on “Larry King Live” tonight that she has decided “not to do radio anymore” so she can say the things she wants to say.

“The reason is, I want to regain my First Amendment rights,” she said. “I want to be able to say what’s on my mind and in my heart and what I think is helpful and useful without somebody getting angry, some special interest group deciding this is the time to silence a voice of dissent and attack affiliates, attack sponsors. I’m sort of done with that.”
