CALL TO OPPOSE THE NAZI MEETING AT THE WORCESTER PUBLIC LIBRARY

WPLThis is the official release from folks in Worcester encouaging everyone to be proactive against the Nazis that want to use the library in Worcester, MA to more or less start a race war. This, as many of you know took a turn for the WTF when the organizers of North East White Pride decided to release a video announcing the meeting like it’s some sort of monster truck affair, and daring people to come out an oppose them with bike locks, because “We’ll be waiting!” As we said earlier, that isn’t exactly what library patrons and workers want while they are trying to enjoy the place on a Saturday, and hopefully library administrators realize that.

Worcester Antifa

White supremacist group North East White Pride (NEWP) is attempting to hold another meeting at Worcester Public Library this Saturday July 13th. This will be their third.

Here is coverage of the response to the first meeting in February, which was shut down due to a large community response.

Here is coverage of the response to the second meeting in May, which was shut down due to a direct action group.

And from their YouTube channel.

So the word that we have gotten is that NEWP has talked with members of Battalion 14 at the Hudson, NH rally to come down for this meeting. Battalion 14 is a group associated with NEWP that are openly militant, and meeting opposition with violence.  They also sent out this video which may cause the library to rethink letting them come.

We are calling out to anyone that can come out to help us deal with this problem of NEWP in our community. We are supporting a diversity of tactics.

We will be meeting at the Major Taylor statue on the parking lot side of the library at 2:00, this Saturday.

If people could phone jam the library on that day between 3:00 and 5:00 that would be helpful. WPL’s  Head Librarian Mark Contois 508.799.1690. The library’s website is http://www.worcpublib.org.  Michael O’Brien is the city manager of Worcester, and can be reached at (508) 799-1175 or emailed at [email protected].
