BROKEN BONEHEAD APPEARS IN COURT

“Nazi Daren Abbey learns how “keeping it real” can go wrong!” “Daren Abbey – Professed Neo Nazi – Barked Up The Daren C. AbbeyWrong Tree.” “Daren Abbey, Moron of the Day: Nazi Gets Ass Kicked By Black Guy in Bar.” “Ass-Whippings Do Not Discriminate.” To say that the story of a white supremacist who was knocked out cold by the black man he decided to pick a fight with spark lulz around the internet as evidenced by those headlines is an understatement. Well, two weeks after Darren C. Abbey of Reno, Nevada (per his Facebook page and what his former roomate Steven Holten told us) became famous as that white supremacist, we now have an update as Abbey appeared in court to face charges of harassment and battery. Marlon Baker, the black man who put him down, was also there to testify to what happened. It was just a preliminary hearing to determine if the case should go forward, which the judge of course said it should. Guess he didn’t think that the defense’s contention of how it wasn’t harassment because racisl slurs weren’t used wasn’t good enough! So we will be hearing more about the Broken Bonehead Daren C. Abbey soon enough. One other thing: Nazis in the Northwest are starting to become the best example of why their brand of White Nationalism is crap. Just a few months ago a newscaster in Seattle, Washington saved whom he later found out was a bonehead from a beatdown he was getting, and in Spokane, where Marlon Baker is from, they thwarted an attempted bombing of a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade. Had enough yet, boneheads?

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — All Marlon Baker wanted to do was enjoy the 4th of July weekend and take in the fireworks later on in the evening, but when neo-Nazi Daren Abbey saw him in JD’s Resort, a bar in nearby Bayview, he wouldn’t leave him alone.

That was the biggest mistake in Abbey’s life. For two weeks the internet was abuzz with the story of how a 46-year-old black man and boxing afficinado knocked out the 28-year-old bonehead cold with one punch. On Tuesday, Abbey appeared in court held ironically in the town best known as the former headquarters of the white supremacist group Aryan Nations to face harassment charges stemming from his arrest after he came to.

According to KXLY.com, Abbey, still in custody in lieu of $75,000 bail and no longer wearing the bandages in his face seen in his mugshot appeared in court for a preliminary hearing that lasted two hours after which the judge ruled that the case can go forward.

Baker testified that he left the bar to go to a spot  where he was going to camp out and watch the fireworks, but a reportedly inebrieated Abbey was shadowing him the entire time.  “He didn’t say anything it was just like everywhere we went he was there,” Baker said.

Abbey eventually told him to leave and that “his kind” wasn’t wanted there. “I wasn’t really sure. I didn’t know how to take it, I didn’t know if he was kidding or cause I didn’t know him. But he was looking right at me when he said it,” Baker said.
When they both got up at the same time with Baker telling Abbey he had enough, Abbey reportedly poked Baker, and Baker responded by punching Abbey in the face. Law enforcement investigators say the punch was in self-defense, with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office saying that there was also threats of stabbing from Abbey.

Meanwhile Abbey’s defense argued there isn’t enough evidence to support the harassment charge, saying there was no testimony that racial slurs were used against Baker among other issues. The judge disagreed.

KXLY.com also notes there was a debate over identification because Darren Abbey’s twin brother Dustin was also there, but witnesses were able to use white power tattoos and footwear to tell the two apart. In an earlier interview with former Aryan Nations leader Steve Holten, who used to room with Darren Abbey in Reno, Nevada where the twins are from, said they are always together, particularly given the fact that Dustin is the one that is able to drive.

Abbey is to be arraigned in the near future.
