A group announces on Facebook an armed rally on the White House for July 4 on April 12 – and uses a contact connected to a notorious racist Facebook page. Adam Kokesh, who has been tight with white supremacists in the past announces an armed rally on DC for July 4 on May 2. Right wingers, spare us the whining about how we supposedly find racists everywhere we look. You do this to yourselves.
The Liberty Lamp has an article on Kokesh and his plans here.

One People’s Project
An April 12 posting to a militia support page on Facebook that at the time was promoting a July 4 “Peaceful Armed March” in Washington, DC similar to the one that anti-war libertarian activist Adam Kokesh announced over the weekend for the same date and place notes an fundraising contact email that is also connected to the racist website and Facebook page American White History Month (AWHM).
“I think people are put in touch with each other at certain times in life for a reason,” The post on the Militia Connection Facebook page reads. “One of the followers of our page, a military spouse, has stepped up to help coordinate fundraising events for our cause against what is happening to our country. Do you want to participate in the July 4th March but aren’t able to due to your circumstances? Help other Americans by hosting a Prepare fundraiser to help those who can attend. She will take care of everything.”
The posting then links to an email that has been used as a contact for AWHM on several occasion, and a simple Google search reveals it also being used as a contact for events such as an “American White Country Camp Out” in Dawsonville, GA on June 8, an “American White 2nd Amendment Right Pool Party” in Jacksonville, FL on May 25. According to one post, AWHM’s sister page Prepare to Take America Back is putting together the July 4th March to DC. There are several sites with that name on Facebook, many of them listed with state designations.
The email is connected to Brandi Phillips who is also associated with a women’s center in Ridgecrest, CA and is the contact for the group as a beneficiary/promoter for a June 15 Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event to bring awareness to domestic violence against women. The Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event is part of a larger effort and not connected to any controversial politics concerning racial matters.
On May 2, just over two weeks after the posting on Militia Connection’s page, Adam Kokesh created the event “Open Carry March on Washington” and has generated growing media attention over his plans to hold what he says will be an armed peaceful rally that will begin at Arlington National Cemetery and will proceed from there to Washington, DC. “This is an act of civil disobedience, not a permitted event,” he wrote. “We will march with rifles loaded & slung across our backs to put the government on notice that we will not be intimidated & cower in submission to tyranny.”
Kokesh, who first gained notoriety as a Iraq War veteran and anti-war activist, has made connections to figures within the white supremacist ranks in the past. He is friends with Kevin DeAnna, one of the white nationalist founders of the hate group Youth Against Western Civilization who now works for World Net Daily. DeAnna was featured on Kokesh now-defunct Russia Today program Adam vs. the Man, which was cancelled after it was shown he was using the program to promote and fundraise for Congressman and then-Presidential Candidate Ron Paul.
