RACHEL MADDOW ON STEVE SCALISE

Maddow covered the Steve Scalise story last night, and there were two things that must be noted. One, Eric Cantor, who was the highest-ranking Jewish member of Congress in its history, is about to be replaced by a guy who spoke at a David Duke-sponsored conference that was loaded up with people with anti-Jewish sentiments (to underscore a fact), has taken money from his lieutenants, and has called himself “David Duke without the baggage”. Two, after David Duke issued his threat to expose other politicians he has worked with, the GOP House leadership pretty much has to kick Scalise to the curb if they don’t want it to look like they are buckling to Duke. This is going to be fun.
