VALLEY FORGE, PA \u2013 While their counterparts in Washington DC held a protest at the Lincoln Memorial where they removed barricades<\/a> and marched them to the gates of the White House where they were thrown while flying a Confederate Flag, far right activists marched on the Valley Forge National Historical Park in response to a jogger that was ticketed for being in the park after it was closed because of the government shutdown.<\/p>\n The rally, sponsored by the group Citizens for Liberty, brought out just over 100 persons, many of them representing groups like the Oath Keepers and Pennsylvania Militia, who met at the Washington Memorial Chapel for a march to the Valley Forge Visitor’s Center, which was closed due to the shutdown, making marchers subject to being ticketed for trespassing. Once at the Visitor Center, participants raised the Gadsen Flag on a nearby flagpole.<\/p>\n Among the participants was radio show host Dom Giordano, who promoted the event on his program, and Fernando Antonio Salguero, a \u201csovereign citizen\u201d who although is currently facing weapons charges in New Jersey<\/a> was armed with a handgun at the protest.<\/p>\n PROTESTERS RAISING THE GADSEN FLAG<\/h2>\n
